BOSTON (WHDH) — A pickup truck crashed into a house in Dorchester on Tuesday morning, sending the vehicle careening into a building and damaging two other vehicles that were parked nearby. State police say the F-150 struck a home at 85 Gallivan Blvd and a parked 2019 Jeep Wrangler on Oakridge Street. The driver of the truck, a 63-year-old Dorchester man, was taken to a hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries. The Jeep driver was uninjured.
Matthew Malloy of Ocean Street in Dorchester really wants to buy an electric car, but he doesn’t have a driveway and the city’s zoning rules forbid parking spaces in front yards. That changed today, when the Zoning Board of Appeal granted him a variance that will allow him to build a mini-driveway up his front yard so he can plug in his future car and use a level 2 charger.
Applications are now open for the 2022 Dorchester Market Car Boot Fund which will award funding to community and voluntary organisations operating in and supporting residents of Dorchester.
