A Guide to Finding Your Sydney Accommodation

When you look at all that Australia’s biggest city, Sydney has to offer, you may wonder how you will ever choose where to stay. Between the southern highlands and the northern beaches, there are just too many places to choose for your Sydney accommodation.

Your first decision will be picking a suburb to stay in. Do you like the buzzing city center or do you prefer the beach? Perhaps you’re the type who likes to stay somewhere outside the city and only come into the city for day trips or to work. Either one is easily done.

Sydney’s Central Business District is a great choice for your Sydney accommodation. There you have it all. You have towering skyscrapers on one side and just a short walk away you can sip a cappuccino at a harborside cafe. The range of accommodation in the CBD runs the gamut from backpacker to five star.

South of the CBD is the suburb of Paddington. Paddington is kind of a Sydney insider’s secret. The Oxford Street business strip is great for leisurely shopping for all the latest fashions. You can find a Sydney accommodation right there on Oxford Street or a quaint guesthouse just off the main strip.

Every year, it seems like the entire world spends their Christmas holidays at Bondi Beach. One of the most famous beaches in the world, Bondi richly deserves its reputation. Sit on the sand and watch the surfers or wander up the road to one of Bondi’s many great restaurants. You’ll love your Bondi Sydney accommodation.

Let’s go north now, across the “coat hanger” as the locals affectionately call the Sydney Harbor Bridge. Sydney’s second CBD is right on the other side in North Sydney. From there it’s just a short distance to some of Sydney’s premier attractions like the Taronga Park Zoo.

Just north of the North Sydney CBD is Manly Beach. Manly is not as famous to outsiders as is Bondi, but it is a haven for Sydneysiders from the Western suburbs who flock there on weekends to escape the summer heat. Tourists who have discovered Manly come back again and choose Manly for their Sydney accommodation. You can get anywhere in Sydney from the Manly ferry terminal, but once you’re there, you may not want to leave!

If you want to get away from it all, venture north to Sydney’s exclusive far northern beaches. They’re exclusive, but you won’t feel excluded by the friendly locals who are lucky enough to have a Palm Beach address.

Sydney’s Western suburbs may not have beaches, but they’ve got everything else. The Parramatta CBD has everything the Sydney CBD has, but at a more relaxed pace. Not far away is the famous Western Plains Zoo and the fabulous Blue Mountains are just a short train ride away.

The Central Coast is just a short, beautiful train ride away from Sydney, but it’s another world. The Central Coast is one of the preferred weekend holiday spots for Sydney locals and it’s no wonder. The beaches there are stunning and there’s still a small town feel to it, though you can get uptown service and amenities, including great accommodations.. CBD For Anxiety UK
